Tall, talented Dacula (Ga.) started strong, slowed a bit in the middle, but then closed with a rush to knock off Morristown West 65-41 in an opening round game.

The Lady Falcons (10-1) led 19-8 after a quarter and 35-22 at halftime but saw the Lady Trojans come out after intermission red hot and cut the gap to six points. Dacula then regrouped and won going away, outscoring the Trojans big the rest of the way.

Lazeria Spearman scored 16 points and had 12 rebounds to lead the way for the Falcons. Nyla Rose Moore scored 13 and Haneefat Adanijo chipped in with 10.

The Trojans got 11 points each from Hannah Seals and Nina Lovelace with Lexi Howard scoring 10. Lovelace had nine rebounds.
