South Greene and Morristown West have often met in the Ladies Classic, but never had they played in an early morning loser’s bracket game until Monday. The Rebels started slow but rallied in the middle quarters to romp to a 67-49 win over the Lady Trojans.
Kiley Collins turned in a 32-point show, hitting 6-of-10 from 3-point range, to lead South Greene. It was a tournament individual high point total to this point in the tourney. Jayden Merriweather scored 13 and Addison Williams netted 12 with eight rebounds.
Lexi Howard scored 15 and Hannah Seals had 12 for Morristown West.
West led 19-13 after one quarter, but South Greene turned up the defensive pressure in the second and outscored the Trojans by a 23-10 margin in the second to take control and never let up.
