(Game 8) Farmington (Ark.) 83, Riverside (S.C.) 44

The Farmington High Cardinals from Arkansas, stocked with great size and Division 1 talent galore as no less than three starters have been courted or have signed with colleges, romped past Riverside (S.C.) 83-44.

Marin Adams, a Pitt State commit, scored 20 points and dished out six assists to lead the way, but she had plenty of help from the talented squad. Minnesota commit Zoey Bershers scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds, plus she blocked six shots. Easton McCollough, courted by a number of schools including Iowa and her home state Arkansas, scored 12. Kaycee McCumber added 10.

The Cardinals, unbeaten at 9-0, are back-to-back Class 4A champs In Arkansas.

Riverside, who advanced by edging South Greene in an out-bracket game on Thursday, dropped behind 27-7 after one quarter and never threatened. They were led by Sophia Powell with 17 points and Elly Trickett with 12.
