Down 25 points at halftime, Riverside of South Carolina could have bowed out without much of a fight. But the defending Class 4A state champs did not do that, chopping that big lead down to seven in the fourth quarter before David Crockett held on for a 76-64 victory.

The Lady Pioneers were able to put the game away at the free throw line in the closing minutes after seeing their 46-21 halftime lead cut to 68-61 with about three minutes to go in the contest.

Brylee Tullock was the catalyst for the win, scoring 18 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and dishing out six assists. Kayleigh Doner and Laney Britton each scored 17 and Autumn Wynn had 12 in the balanced offensive attack by Crockett.

The Warriors of Riverside were led by a game-best 23 points and nine rebounds by Sophia Powell, while Madison Garrido scored 21.
