Providence Day of Charlotte, NC tripped up South Greene with a strong second half and beat the Rebels 50-37 Thursday in the Classic.

A competitive first half had the Chargers ahead by only 25-22 at intermission, but they outscored the Rebs 25-15 in the second half to pick up the victory.

The Chargers were led by Jordyn Latter with 15 points, 12 rebounds and four assists. Jaida McClure added 11 points.

South Greene (9-6) got 13 points from Jordyn Roderick and nine from Madison Hensley.

Providence will play Friday at 4:30 p.m. while the Rebs will take the floor for a 10:30 a.m. game.
