(GAME 14) North Greene 66, South Greene 51

North Greene beat county rival South Greene 66-51 Saturday morning in a loser’s bracket contest.

With starter Madison Hensley sidelined with a knee injury suffered in the Thursday game, South Greene had three more starters pick up three fouls apiece in the first half against the Huskies, who took advantage and moved to a 38-26 halftime advantage and never let the Rebels mount any comeback in the final two quarters.

Senior Hannah Miller had a big game for the winners, scoring 19 points and hauling in 13 rebounds. Mercy Buchanan hit four 3-pointers and scored 15, while Kaydence Marshall netted 11 and Loren Blevens scored 10 as the Huskies nailed a total of 11 threes in the contest.

South Greene got 16 points from Natalie Foshie and 13 from Kortnei Bailey.
