Greeneville High’s Lady Devils used a 10-2 run to end the third quarter and gain some separation on Providence Day School, then controlled the fourth quarter to earn a 57-40 win in the Ladies’ Classic Wednesday night.

The Lady Devils (8-3) got 17 points from Tambryn Ellenburg, who nailed five 3-pointers in the game, to lead the way. Lindy Carter chipped in with 13 and Lauren Bailey dropped in 10.

The Chargers of Providence Day (8-2) got 19 points from Jordyn Latter.

The first half was tight with the Devils up 13-12 after one and 26-24 at intermission. The game stayed tight until late in the third when the GHS spurt lifted them to a 40-32 advantage heading into the fourth period.

Greeneville will move to the tourney quarterfinals for a 7:30 p.m. game Thursday against Cleveland.
