Webb School of Knoxville breezed past their third straight opponent in the Ladies Classic, cruising past Mercy Academy of Kentucky 68-37 to advance to Friday night’s semifinal round where they will take on Jackson Southside.
The Spartans started hot and never quit. They were up 20-4 at the first quarter’s end, then boosted that lead to 34-15 by halftime and stretched it even more in the third.
Meeyah Green scored 16 points to pace the Spartan offense while Brooklyn Bush scored 10 and Kyndeall Mays added nine. Katelyn Overton had eight assists.
Mercy was led by Abby Reitzel with 12 points but no other player hit double figures for the team from Louisville.
