Alcoa’s Tornadoes beat North Greene 69-46 in a foul-marred final game of the night in the Ladies Classic.

Alcoa (8-3) started strong with a 19-11 first quarter run and never let up, forcing the Huskies into 22 turnovers. A total of 47 fouls were called in the contest, 27 of them on the Tornadoes whose scrappy and physical defense got the Huskies offense out of shape.

It was a balanced offensive attack for the winners, led by Maddy Stewart with 11 points and Brylee Flatt and Gwen Carroll with 10 points each.

North Greene (11-2) was led by Tralyn Southerland with 19 points and Eva Leonard scored 12. Southerland made it a double-double with 10 rebounds.
