The North Greene Lady Huskies (13-2) started the final day of the Classic with a win over Tennessee High 55-47.
North Greene led the game the entire way and stretched a slender 10-7 lead into a 23-12 halftime advantage. The Huskies still maintained that double digit spread at 37-26 at the end of the third, and went on to take a 45-31 lead midway of the final period.
That’s when the Vikings made it interesting, reeling off 10 straight points to clsoe to 45-41, but Cadie McDevitt stopped the bleeding by knocking down a shot from behind the arc and the Huskies were able to close out strong.
Ella Head led North Greene with 16 points, while Tralyn Southeerland had 13 points and 11 rebounds. The Vikings (12-5) got 22 points from Addie Wilhoit.
