This quarterfinal didn’t go down to the last shot as did the previous two, but it was a very competitive contest with Grace Christian of Knoxville winning a 55-50 decision over Albertville, Ala.

Grace’s Abby Roberts pumped in 27 points, 12 of them in the decisive fourth quarter, while Nya Burns chipped in with nine for the victors.

Albertville got 16 points from Whitley Booker, 14 from Mylie Butler and 12 points and eight rebounds from Lani Smallwood.

Grace led the vast majority of the game but could never put away the Alabama squad, who trailed 24-19 at halftime but refused to fold. Albertville got to within two points at 37-35 early in the fourth but Grace was able to handle every rally and foil it.
